Tampa Bay has announced 11 cuts from training camp today.
After clearing waivers, forwards Blair Jones and Martins Karsums were assigned to AHL Norfolk. Also sent to Norfolk were: Goaltenders Dustin Tokarski, Riku Helenius and Jaroslav Janus (unsigned); Defensemen: Vladimir Mihalik and Ty Wishart; Forwards - Juraj Simek, Paul Szczechura and Dana Tyrell.
Forward Carter Ashton was returned to his junior team in Lethbridge.
With the additional loss of Radek Smolenak on waivers to Chicago on Friday, Tampa Bay has 29 players remaining in camp with one more preseason game remaining on the schedule Sunday in Atlanta. Final rosters must be down to the maximum of 23 by Wednesday in preparation for the start of the regular season Oct. 3 in Atlanta.

Goaltenders (2): Mike Smith, Antero Niittymaki
