Leto senior baseball players Juan Fontela and P.J. Leto have verbally committed to Hillsborough Community College, Falcons coach J.J. Pizzio said.
Fontela, a catcher, hit .343 with two homers and 12 RBIs as a junior. Leto, a infielder/pitcher, hit .262 with three doubles and 14 runs scored, and also went 2-1 with a save and a 2.50 ERA in 11 appearances on the mound.
Fontela and Leto bring the number to four Falcons players who have committed to college programs. Pitcher Nick Gonzalez signed with USF during the early signing period in November, while infielder Erick Gutierrez also has committed to HCC.
Fontela, Leto and Gutierrez will sign with HCC in January.
