Former USF football coach Jim Leavitt granted an exclusive interview to WFLA News Channel 8 anchor Gayle Sierens recently.
Click here to read a story on TBO.com.
Leavitt maintains that he did nothing wrong in the USF locker room on Nov. 21 at Raymond James Stadium during halftime of the Louisville game, and remains determined to clear his name.
He does say no one has ever asked his side of the story, but then refuses to go into detail about the incident during the interview.
My favorite part of the interview is when Leavitt talks about the meeting with athletic director Doug Woolard, executive associate athletic director Bill McGillis, and USF President Judy Genshaft.
After being told he was being terminated, Leavitt shook hands with Woolard and McGillis. When Genshaft stuck her hand out, Leavitt opted to call an audible. Only a hug would do.
