Cincinnati is officially Big East Conference champions after a thrilling 45-44 win at Pittsburgh this afternoon.
West Virginia won at Rutgers, 24-21, and is headed to the Gator Bowl to likely face Florida State.
The only Big East game left this regular season is tonight’s USF-UConn game. While we won’t know anything officially until tomorrow, here is the likely Big East bowl games:
Sugar Bowl: Cincinnati vs. Florida-Alabama loser
Meineke Car Care Bowl: Pittsburgh vs. North Carolina
Gator Bowl: West Virginia vs. Florida State
St. Petersburg Bowl: UConn vs. UCF
Papajohns.com Bowl: USF vs. South Carolina
International Bowl: Rutgers vs. Northern Illinois
A USF vs. South Carolina matchup in the Papajohns.com Bowl would give USF coach Jim Leavitt to beat Bobby Bowden and Steve Spurrier in the same season. Not many head coaches can say they’ve done that lately except for Urban Meyer.
