LAND O’ LAKES—After missing the first two games of his senior season with a broken left hand, Land O’ Lakes TE Kent Taylor, the consensus No. 1 recruit at the position in the country, will make his 2011 regular season debut Friday night against Hernando in the Class 6A-District 6 opener for both teams.
Just what he’ll be capable of doing remains to be seen.
Coach Brian Wachtel said Thursday that Taylor “is back”, but would not reveal how he plans to use him. Taylor will be wearing some protection on the hand, which could affect his ability to catch passes or block.
Taylor was injured in the Gators’ kickoff classic against Anclote while blocking a defender. Since then, he has been attending practices, running to stay in shape, and taking visits to potential college choices, including Penn State.

He’s Not going to catch much with a brick attached to his hand.
