UPDATE: In the letter detailing Robinson linebacker John Carter’s two-week suspension from the FHSAA to school officials, the Knights were issued a warning.

Because Carter’s ejection from last Thursday’s game against King for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were deemed Level 2, all sports at Robinson will be on the hook for the next Level 2 or higher suspension. If a Knights player in any sport throughout the rest of the school year is suspended for a Level 2 or higher occurrence, the school will be subject to a minimum fine of $250 per occurrence.

The letter also stated Robinson was eligible for a suspension of up to six weeks, but the FHSAA reduced the suspension to two.

Knights coach Mike DePue said the school is appealing the FHSAA’s decision.

Robinson starting linebacker John Carter has been suspended two weeks by the FHSAA after his ejection in last week’s 35-14 victory against King last Thursday.

FHSAA spokesman Seth Polansky confirmed the two week ruling. Robinson coach Mike DePue said they will appeal the decision.

The Knights (2-0) begin the first of two-consecutive district games Friday night against Middleton (0-2).

Last season, Carter was the Knights second-leading tackler with 95 tackles.
