King quarterback Greg Windham and his go-to receiver Chris Murray will each head to Athens, Ohio for an official visit Ohio University Saturday morning.
The pair will watch the Bobcats (2-0) host Marshall University (1-1) for the 55th addition of the Battle for the Bell inside Peden Stadium.
“They like both kids,” King coach Alvin Davis said. “Like a package deal.”
Ohio should be an intriguing place for Windham and Murray under former Nebraska coach Frank Solich, in his seventh season at Ohio. In 2008, the Bobcats offense set single-season program records for passing yards, passing yards per game and touchdown passes. That season’s offense amassed 4,337 yards of total offense, which was the third-highest in school history. Quarterback Boo Jackson set the single-season school record for touchdown passes (19) leading that offense.
Before that Saturday morning flight, the pair will host Alonso (2-0) Friday night in an attempt to rebound from its first loss of the season – a 35-28 defeat at the hands of Tampa Bay Tech.
