Kapler gets start in right field

ST. PETERSBURG—Hello again from Tropicana Field, where the Rays and White Sox will play the third game of a four-game series tonight. Marc is off.

Gabe Kapler gets the start in right field for the Rays over Ben Zobrist, whose sixth inning grand slam Friday night provided the winning runs in a 6-5 victory. For Chicago, Brent Lillibridge, who had two stolen bases Friday nigth in the ninth inning, will lead off and play second base. Corky Miller starts at catcher over pesky A.J. Pierzynski.

Kapler, he of the robust .125 average? Wow, a million bucks sure doesn’t go far these days!

Kapler, Gross, Balfour, and Percival
are killing the Rays. I have never understood the Kapler signing, Gross has always been way overrated despite a couple of big hits last year, Balfour throws hard but straight and no control, and Percival is well Percy, broken down and over the hill.
