The NBA draft is a week from today, and USF’s Dominique Jones appears within shot of becoming the Bulls’ highest-drafted player in school history.
Multiple draft analysts have him going in the first round thanks to a strong showing at more than a dozen personal workouts for NBA teams.
Jones is in Tampa today and is working out at the University of Tampa this afternoon.
He is trying to supplant former USF player Solomon Jones as the school’s highest-drafted NBA player.
Jones was the 33rd overall pick in the 2006 NBA draft, going to the Hawks with the third pick of the second round.
“I’m feeling good about what I’ve done in the workouts,’’ Jones said earlier this week. “I’m ready to find out where I’m going.’’
