Jesuit’s Trace Williams picks Wingate

Jesuit’s Trace Williams has verbally committed to Wingate University in North Carolina.

Williams chose Wingate, a Division II school that participates in the South Atlantic Conference, over Assumption College in Massachusetts and Catholic University in D.C.

The defensive end led the Tigers with seven sacks last season. Williams, an All-Hillsborough County Football Team honorable mention selection, also had 70 tackles and 10 tackles for a loss.

Williams, an Under Armour Hillsborough County All Star Game selection, is the second football member of the Jesuit senior class to commit. Kicker Tyler Feely committed to Columbia.
