Jesuit wrestler Mike Lamoureux has been named to the 2010 National High School Coaches Association All-Academic Team, the second consecutive year a Tigers wrestler has earned that distinction.
Lamoureux not only excelled on the mat in his final season with the Tigers, going 23-6 and claiming fourth at the Class 1A state tournament at 215 pounds, but also in the classroom. He graduated with a 3.83 GPA, scored 27 on the ACT and 1240 on the SAT and will attend Davidson College.
Lamoureux was the only local wrestler to make the team and one of just two wrestlers from Florida honored. Last year, Austin Boudreau became the first Tigers wrestler in program history to be named to the NHSCA’s All-Academic Team.
