Jesuit infielder Anthony Hamlin accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity with the Marist College baseball team Wednesday, according to Tigers coach Richie Warren.
This past season as a junior, Hamlin, in limited duty, had one RBI. In five games at first base, the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Hamlin recorded five put outs and three assists with no errors in eight chances.
Marist College, which is in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and participates in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, finished the 2011 with the program’s second-highest win total at 35-17.
