After previously giving a verbal commitment to the University of Florida, Jesuit RHP/OF Conor O’Brien has now committed to N.C. State.
According to Tigers coach Richie Warren, O’Brien made the new commitment Monday night. O’Brien originally committed to UF during the summer of 2010.
From the mound last season as a junior, O’Brien went 5-0 with one save and a 2.71 ERA. In 41.1 innings, O’Brien struck out 45 batters, while as a hitter he collected a .274 batting average, seven doubles, two triples and two home runs.
