Jesuit football coach James Harrell has been selected to attend the NFL-USA Football Summit this week in Canton, Ohio. During the summit, which takes place Wednesday through Friday, Harrell and other high school coaches from around the country will hear from former greats and doctors on the importance of education, health, coach-player relationships and NCAA eligibility and recruiting.
One high school coach from each state is invited as well as former NFL players who are currently coaching. Harrell played nine seasons in the NFL with the Lions and the Chiefs.
Expected to speak at the summit is former Pittsburgh Steeler Merril Hoge, former Dallas Cowboy Darrin Smith, Hall of Famer Mike Haynes, former Green Bay Packer Dave Robinson and former Chiefs quarterback Todd Blackledge.
