BOSTON Desmond Jennings’ catch against the Green Monster to rob Dustin Pedroia of extra-bases and save a run during the first inning Tuesday night is certainly worth another look.
Maybe two or three.

“At first I didn’t know if I was going to be able to jump up and get it unless I went back to the wall,” Jennings said. “I figured I had a chance if it hit off the wall. I could get to it and get it in before (Adrian) Gonzalez scored from first. I don’t know. I just went for it.”
Not to mention any names, but can anyone remember the last time a Rays left fielder made a leaping catch in front of the Monstah?
“That doesn’t happen often that a player makes that catch,” Joe Maddon said. “A tall wall normally gets an outfielder in a bad position, and he can’t jump and do what he did. That makes that play more impressive.”
And just to show he has the hang of this Green Monster thing, Jennings drove a ball well over the wall during the fifth inning of the Rays 6-2 victory.
Take a look …
