Jefferson will be without the services of starting offensive lineman Kevin Reeves when they host Seminole Osceola Friday night.
Reeves will also be sidelined the next five weeks after the FHSAA suspended him following his ejection from last Thursday’s game against Plant. Reeves was ejected in the third quarter of the Dragons 46-13 loss to the Panthers.

On the incident report, filed by game officials, the reason for Reeves ejection was for “throwing multiple punches.” The official stated in the report that he observed Reeves “laying on top of a Plant player and watched him throw at least five punches to the back and stomach of the Plant player.”
Reeves suspension, which is classified as a Level 2 unsportsmanlike conduct, is effective Sept. 17 through Oct. 29.
Jefferson athletic director Bob Morgan said the school is looking into the possibility of appealing the suspension. He said game film, shot from the visitor sideline was inconclusive and he thought the penalty was harsh.

I heard that the Jefferson team also trashed Plant’s JV locker room after the game, I have to believe that their coaches were aware unless their players go completely unsupervised. Part of growing up is consequences for your actions.
