Jefferson DB Watson picks Iowa State

Jefferson senior defensive back William Watson, a key member of the Dragon’s Class 3A state championship last season, has verbally committed to Iowa State, Jefferson coach Jeremy Earle confirmed.
As a junior, Watson (6-feet, 180 pounds) finished the season with 58 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass deflections.
Watson, labled a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, also had offers from Bethune-Cookman, Youngstown State, Ball State, Bowling Green and UAB.
