Happy 80th Birthday Living legend Mrs. “Dorothy C. York, ” From The Legacy of Emma Lee. “OLE IS ALIVE! “

Fanatical Fans, This Week’s Bucified Blog was edited by Dowdell’s Critical Thinking in Media class:

This is the season to be jolly and I am getting there in spite of the season our Buccaneers are having.  Yes, my team only has one victory, from a fanatical perspective that is not good, but because I understand what is going on with our Buccaneers, I can accept the growing pains. My fanatical friends, it’s clearly a rebuilding year for our Bucs, but because Josh Freeman threw the 5 interceptions, that is not very normal. We will not beat ourselves up this coming Sunday.  Josh really is getting better every week.  I would be lying if I said that having a losing football season like this did not bother me.  But I am Bucified enough to see the big picture.  There are so many good college teams out there, and we will have Great Draft picks in 2010. That is huge considering we barely lost against some great teams…

Now let me talk about the photo above:  Recently I was invited to a “classy” affair for a “classy” lady. It was her 80th birthday. I gave her a mini Buccaneers’ helmet. Autographed by a classy football player, Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon, this was a great moment for my mission to aid this author/poet/retired English educator because 20 minutes after we took the photo, Lee Roy Selmon, came up and took some pictures with us, and he made this phenomenal legend Dorothy C. York’s birthday very special. It is impressive that Emma-Lee, the legend’s legacy stays alive! We received a heavy dose of endorphins, because now we are working with the family of this wonderful mother to have a profound impact on the Bucified Dream Seeker program in 2010.
Now let’s talk football:  You know our Buccaneers have not won a game in December in two years.  My fanatical friends look for that to change this Sunday against the Jets. Here is the reason why:  Josh Freeman is a fast learner and when you make all the mistakes he made last week throwing five interceptions you get pumped to redeem yourself. This is a home game, we the fans will give him the attention he deserves, and for me, no more going to the game in the throw- back outfit, because it only worked the one game when Lee Roy was being honored. This Sunday I will be totally Bucified. So bring it on Jets.

My prediction: Jets 17 and the Bucified BUCS 30

P.S. The advisor of the students who edited this piece likes the Bucs on an ordinary week, but being a former Long Islander, he will be at the game this Sunday rooting for his Jets. He wanted to point out that he appreciates the honor of working with Bucified as an educator and a colleague in the quest to help our students.
