In the grand scheme of things, Spoto’s matchup Friday with Plant means very little.
The Spartans and Panthers are not district opponents. The two teams are not even in the same classification.
But, as Tribune staff writer Joey Johnston writes in today’s TBO.com Wake-Up Call, the matchup with the Panthers (4-1) is not just another game for the Spartans, who at 6-0 are one of three remaining unbeaten teams in Hillsborough County.

Its going to be a great game! I think that both Spoto and Robinson will be fired up for their games against Plant. Everyone wants to prove themselves against the champ. Spoto has done a great job building their program, win or lose.
