It’s Hot, Hot, Hot!

GAINESVILLE—Thirty minutes before kickoff for the USF Bulls and Florida Gators, the Florida Field temperature is 89 degrees (with a “feels-like’’ mark of 100, according to Weather.com).

Fans are filing into the stadium and everywhere you look, there are people fanning themselves with programs. UF is offering a spot in the air-conditioned O’Connell Center, watching the game on the big screen, for any fans who want to “beat the heat.’‘

USF, at least, is preparing as best as it can for the conditions. The Bulls are decked out in their white-on-white uniforms with white helmets.
