Huggins heads Bucs inactives

CHARLOTTE – That groin problem that forced running back Kareem Huggins to miss all but a few snaps of practice last week will also force him to miss today’s game against the Panthers.

Huiggins, who led the Bucs in rushing with 134 yards during the preseason and was slated to get a good dose of work in today’s game, heads the list of Buccaneers inactives.

CB Myron Lewis, RB LeGarrette Blount, LB Niko Koutouvides, C/G Ted Larsen, DL Michael Bennett, WR Preston Parker and QB Rudy Carpenter are the other Bucs inactives.

Kregg Lumkin, whom the Bucs obtained off waivers from the Green Bay Packers two weeks ago, will replace Huggins in today’s lineup.
