Hudson swimmer Jonathan Liggieri signed a letter-of-intent to swim for West Virginia’s Salem International University last week. The signing makes Liggieri the 14th Hudson High athlete to sign a letter-of-intent to play college athletics.
Liggieri has collected a handful of honors during his time in the pool. This past season he was a third-team All-Sunshine Athletic Conference Swim Team selection and a second-team pick on the Tribune’s All-Pasco County team; in 2008 he was on two relay teams that finished fourth in the SAC meet and was honorable mention on three teams for the Tribune; and in 2007 was a member of the Hudson 400 freestyle relay that finished third. That same season he was an honorable mention in on the Tribune’s All-County Boys Swim Team.
