With just a few weeks left until the start of the school year, Hudson has promoted its baseball coach Keith Newton to athletic director, according to principal David LaRoche.
Newton, 61, who was also a football assistant, the golf and weightlifting coach and a track coach, will begin preparing for the seasons next week, however, no longer be the baseball coach. He will, though, continue to be a PE teacher at the school.
The Cobras began looking for a new AD when Andy Schmidt resigned in July after just a year at the helm to focus more on his football coaching career.
