Hey folks, back in Tampa and heading over to USF soon for another round of press conferences.

In case you missed today’s Tampa Tribune or haven’t seen these stories on TBO.com, here is what we wrote off yesterday’s Big East football media day in Newport, Rhode Island:

—USF football coach Skip Holtz has been on the job for nearly seven months, but Holtz has purposely taken his time in molding the team in his image due to the circumstances when he arrived. He is ready to pick up the pace with practice opening Thursday. Click here to read the story.

—It’s official: The Bulls are headed to Vero Beach for a large portion of fall camp. Click here for the details.

—Pitt favored to win Big East, and Holtz plans more of a “Remember the Titans’’ preseason camp in Vero than a “Junction Boys.’’ Also, Holtz rounds out his graduate assistant coaching staff. To read more, click here.

—Women’s basketball coach Jose Fernandez hired former Detroit Mercy assistant Carrie Banks on Tuesday; Banks replaces Andrea Williams, who left to become head coach at Air Force Academy. To read more, click here for USF’s official release.
