VERO BEACH USF coach Skip Holtz provided an update on the left hamstring injury starting quarterback B.J. Daniels suffered near the end of Tuesday morning’s workout at the Vero Beach Sports Village - on his Twitter account.
Holtz’s brief message should calm the nerves of Bulls fans: “BJ tweaks hamstring at practice today. Will be limited a couple days, but should be fine.”
Daniels suffered the injury while scrambling out of the pocket during 11-on-11 drills. While Holtz got the day off from addressing the media, USF quarterbacks coach Peter Vaas said after practice that it appeared Daniels’ injury was minor.
The Bulls are scheduled to practice again tonight, and with Daniels being limited for the next few days sophomore Bobby Eveld and freshman Matt Floyd will get plenty of extra reps at quarterback.
