The Hillsborough County girls and boys soccer coaches’ poll were released Tuesday with the Plant remaining in the top spot after the Panthers earned the 5A-7 district tournament top seed by defeating Bloomingdale last Tuesday. Riverview and East Bay crack the top 10 for the first time this season as both teams now have seven wins.
The boys poll again has Jesuit in the top spot as the Tigers prepare to travel to the inaugural Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament. The top three remains the same with Wharton staying in the No. 2 spot after a win last Tuesday against Alonso and Plant City earning the No. 3 spot.
The coaches poll, in its third season, is released weekly and a tabulated by Wharton soccer coaches Denis Vukorep (girls) and Scott Ware (boys) and accepts votes from any Hillsborough County soccer coach. Teams listed with records (according to poll) as of Monday and previous ranking in parenthesis.
