Rising junior and defensive end James Wilder Jr. has withdrawn from Chamberlain, Chamberlain athletic director Richard Scionti confirmed.
Scionti said Wilder withdrew on Monday.
Wilder, a 6-foot-2, 220 pound athlete and son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back James Wilder, already has offers from Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, and South Carolina.
Wilder, who led the Chiefs in tackles (145) and sacks (15) this past season, was named to the Tribune’s All-Hillsborough County first-team and Class 5A All-State Defensive second-team.
He was also selected to the 2008 MaxPreps Sophomore All-American first-team.
Several sources say he plans to enroll at Plant.

Hey Reality, you can say that they won with South Tampa kids all you want, but you would be wrong as usual. South Tampa “kids” are born and raised in South Tampa. Put the bong down kid, and let the adults talk.

Who ever this WOW guy is maybe you should do your homework before you come on here o that’s right you don’t do homework at shambleing.Dungy goes to plant for two reason he is in a program that allows him to do so for his study’s.And more important then that is the fact that him and his mom said they would rather not go to gaither everyday seeing that is where his late older brother went and the school board approved.

Sorry Steven. So i guess any kids who move into a school district should not be allowed to play at their new school because they weren’t born in the district. That’s funny.

Dear Blake, Mitch & steve- Town & country, and any other test tube baby relatives of these 3. Let’s simplify things for you fellows. Plant doesnt recruit..If U had a chance to work at IBM, would you stay at Wal Mart?
Suggest removalPor (Steven, Town -N- Country) on April 17, 2009 (Suggest removal)
EC, your reasoning is hilarious in that you try to compare adult situations with kid situations. Only idiots do that and you’re the perfect one for the job. EC South said “if you had a chance to “work” at IBM, would you stay at Wal-Mart”. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hey Ec South, why don’t you watch this video and listen very very very carefully when it’s time is at 1:32 and 2:15. I’d like to hear your feedback on this. http://plantfootball.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=157&Itemid=66 I really don’t expect to hear what you think when you hear what these 2 players say cause Plant people tend to run away when confronted with facts.

What’s your point Buddy Paterson??? So they transferred???? Why would they want to talk about leaving their old school for the new..These are 17yo kids, what do you expect them to say or act like???? YOu are obviously an idiot and like it or not if Plant “recruited” as much as you all say, then it should be very easy for all of you to bust them…have at it, see what you’ll find. There are enough transfers here, Chamb, Armwood and elsewhere to really bring down some awesome programs…know the facts before open your fat hole!!!

I would like to point out that plant has kids that didn’t even live in Hillsborough County. Also this kid is smart he realized that he can play around in the field house all day and still maintain a 3.2 GPA.But unlike recruits in the past they will make his GPA higher because I know how hard it was for one plant grad to get that 960 so he could go to UGA. It is easy for them not to be caught they live with friends and grandparents. Or they buy an apartment in the district and claim it as their primary residence even thought the apartment has no furniture and they have never seen the inside of it. Ec South, Tampa is this life commenting on plant blogs. What may I ask is your affiliation with Plant High School?
Suggest removalPor (The truth hurts plant fans) on April 17, 2009 (Suggest removal)
Ec South Tampa all big and bad commenting on the plant blogs. With his witty comments like go watch “Nickelodeon” and “other test tube baby relatives of these 3. Let’s simplify things for you fellows. Plant doesnt recruit..If U had a chance to work at IBM, would you stay at Wal Mart?” Witty comebacks only a five year old could think of. I challenge you to explain what you call kids moving from another district or county to play football at plant? Also why intellectually savvy kids cannot transfer for academics? Seems to me like recruiting

This is to the girl that posted at 6:29pm, the only idiot in here is you. Open your eyes. As a matter of fact, don’t you have some make-up to put on or something? Go do your girlie things and let the men talk about high school football. What, isn’t there some cheerleading chat rooms for you to go to?
Suggest removalPor (Covergirl) on April 17, 2009 (Suggest removal)
I’m so sorry Buddy, I have misjudged you, you do have some superior intellegence, b/c I am actually a female. I forgot more football than you know MR. Buddy! You truly have no idea about what goes on at Plant or any other school that “recruits”, unless you have an affiliation. How is it the school’s problem or the coaching staff if a kid’s parents get an apart. in the district. It’s the parents that make this happen. YOur a real fool if you think Callahan, Weiner, Garcia or Turner go around calling kids to come to their school. It’s the parents that shop around for the right school. Your just lucky if it happens to be yours! Now I must get this make-up off and apply my night time moisture cream! It’s hard to be a covergirl!

Did I call that or what! I knew that was a freakin’ girl. Like I said, stick to the cheerleading blogs. An I think that’s hilarious when she said, and I quote, “I forgot more about football than you know”, end of quote. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

How dare anyone attack THE Plant high school. They had to earn those state championships by selling their respect and integrity. All of you that keep on telling them that they need to follow the same rules as everyone else are wrong. So what if the students dont even remotely live near the plant district. So what if their star athletes just sit in the field house instead of going to class. So what if Plant is operating at 115% capacity yet they still find room for more “student”-athletes.
Plant has had to sacrifice a lot to be where they are today. Maybe all you haters out their should just lower your standards too and quit complaining.

Sorry guys, the only time I can get on a computer is when I visit the library. Look, I’ll admit that Plant does recruit but so does Armwood and other high schools in Hillsborough County. The school board just doesn’t care and Plant will continue recruiting until they come up with a way to stop it. If it wasn’t for the Murray’s or the Charles’s or the Sampson’s giving our administration a fake address, then Plant would be lucky to win 5 or 6 games a year. The people that live in South Tampa know that we couldn’t win without these kids from outside the district coming over to help us. So give us a break, we’re not the only ones doing it.

EC south tampa you have already used the test tube baby comment please find new material like plant fines new players around the county. You still have not responded to my question “I challenge you to explain what you call kids moving from another district or county to play football at plant? Also why these kids can come while intellectually savy kids cannot transfer for academics?” Seems to me like recruiting. Why do you attack steve but not me?
Suggest removalPor (Ec South) on April 20, 2009 (Suggest removal)
Mr Truth: sorry I didnt anwser your question before but here is my opinion.
THE TRUTH:“I challenge you to explain what you call kids moving from another district or county to play football at plant?
EC: I call it kids who want to play for Plant. kids who want to win, kids who heard the program is good and obviously successful..for the time being. why do kids want to play for USC…cause they good right now.
THE TRUTH: why these kids can come while intellectually savy kids cannot transfer for academics?” EC S0UTH: because most intellectual kids can’t play corner..(kidding) PlANT HAS ENUFF SMART KIDS. NEED TO SPREAD THAT WEALTH

Mr Truth: you didnt answer my question/.. what team are you a fan of? and why are u not hating on Armwood?? they had a player from Hillsborough and Freedom’s QB transfer there in the past month. why so hard on Plant? where were you in 2004 when plant was 3-7 ? dont forget 2-3 players dont make a team…
Suggest removalPor (The truth hurts plant fans) on April 20, 2009 (Suggest removal)
I personally think that if you look at it sure Armwood recruits heavily but still not as much as Plant in recent years. Exactly one or two kids but where not looking at one or two kids now are we? Where looking at the greater portion of your starting line up the real back bone of that team. Please let us not compare college to high school if you want to do that we should but restrictions on where kids can go and make them sit out a year. Does that sound a little arrogant that statement about “ we have enough smart kids we need to spare the wealth”
Suggest removalPor (Steven, Town -N- Country) on April 21, 2009 (Suggest removal)
I love when Ec South says “2 or 3 players don’t make a team”. UUhhhh, I think it does when their recruited for the skill positions. An that’s why people hate Plant and their parents because of this statement, courtesy of Ec South, “Plant has enuff smart kids, need to spread the wealth”. Is Orson Charles included in that group? You’re a freakin’ idiot.
