High school basketball showcase this weekend

Bay Area Hoops, a Tampa area AAU basketball club, along with Big County Preps is sponsoring Backboard Breakdown, an exposure basketball showcase for eighth grade, junior varsity and varsity basketball players.
The showcase, which will tests players ball handling, shooting, passing, defense and scoring skills, will take place Saturday at Strawberry Crest High School. Players may also receive a free highlight film of their performance.
NCAA Division II, Division II, NAIA and junior college scouts from the region are expected to be in attendance.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. for eighth grade students and at 11 a.m. for 9-12th graders. The cost is $50 for eighth grade students and $75 for 9-12th grade students.
