Tampa Bay Tech head football coach Jayson Roberts says by “mutual consent,” Mo Harris is no longer the Titans’ offensive coordinator after one season on the job.
Roberts said he has promoted TBT running backs coach Anthony Palmer to the offensive coordinator position.
“Mo and I sat down at the end of the season and, really, it just came down to a difference in philosophies,” Roberts said. “I just think that at the end of the day, he (Harris) felt more comfortable with how things work at Plant.”
Before joining Roberts’ staff at TBT for his first stint as a coordinator, Harris, a former standout running back at Jesuit and Hillsborough, was running backs coach at Plant. Among his protégés was current Florida State running back James Wilder.
At TBT, Harris’ offense produced 4,066 total yards, averaging 123.5 yards passing and 215.3 rushing per game. The Titans went 8-4 and reached the second round of the Class 7A state playoffs.
