TAMPA – The Carolina Panthers have been throwing the ball more than running it in recent weeks. Even with Matt Moore starting in place of Jake Delhomme at quarterback, that trend may continue today at Bank of America Stadium.

Not only will the Panthers be without their leading ground gainer, DeAngelo Williams, the Bucs will be without their top cornerback, Aqib Talib.

The combination could invite the Panthers to pass more, especially with the Bucs also missing one of their better pass rushers, rookie defensive tackle Roy Miller.

Williams will miss the game with an ankle injury, while Talib will miss the game with a hamstring strain. Miller is also nursing a sore ankle.

Talib will likely be replaced in the starting lineup by Elbert Mack, but plans also call for undrafted free agent pickup Derrick Roberson to play extensively today.

Other inactives for the Bucs include DL Michael Bennett, G Shawn Murphy, T James Lee, WR Michael Clayton (knee sprain) and WR Terrence Nunn. Rudy Carpenter will be the Bucs third emergency quarterback.
