LaGrange (Ga.) quarterback Jamius Gunsby is the third USF commitment to officially fax in his letter-of-intent on National Signing Day.
USF football coach Skip Holtz can take a deep breath now.
“Great to have the newest quarterback in the USF football family,’’ Holtz wrote on his Twitter feed a few minutes ago.
Gunsby is a player the Bulls went after hard the final week before NSD and it paid off when Gunsby committed over the weekend.
He is a 6-foot-5, 229-pounder with a live arm according to his high school coach, Steve Pardue.
He’ll offer a very different look than what current starter B.J. Daniels offers. Gunsby is more of a pro-style quarterback, but he can get out of the pocket and run.
His size also helps him see the field very well.
