After a few days of rumors, following Gulf’s crushing 42-0 defeat to Brooksville Nature Coast Technical this past Friday night, Buccaneers coach Tom Carter has confirmed that Keshaun Peters has been allowed back on the football team under strict rules and stipulations.
“There has been discussions between, me, Keshaun and administration and he’ll be allowed back onto the football team,” Carter said.
“He will not be the starting quarterback immediately. He will have to earn that starting position back.”
The move is surprising based on Carter’s move to dismiss the freshman quarterback this past Wednesday due to ‘behavior detrimental to the team,’ according to Carter. Gulf named sophomore Chris Klyap Wednesday evening, after Peters was dismissed from the team.

Apparently after a 42-0 whuupping some behaviors are less detrimental to the team than others.
