KISSIMMEE—We say hello this morning from Osceola County Stadium, where the Rays are set to tangle with the Houston Astros this afternoon.
Now, some bonus information for loyal readers of this blog. Driving over on U.S. 192, I spotted a shop—come to think of it, more than one shop—offering Florida T-shirts, three for $10. Feel free to tell a friend or two. I know where I’m headed after the ballgame.
The Rays are packing a powerful lineup—B.J. Upton, Ben Zobrist, Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena in the 2-3-4-5 holes—and they will use the DH (with Houston’s permission) in the National League park. James Shields, Tampa Bay’s Opening Day starter, is on the mound.
