Bucs Report
Goodell says it’s all up to Pacman now

You may have seen the last of Adam “Pacman’’ Jones on an NFL field.

Commissioner Roger Goodell, who suspended the embattled Cowboys CB indefinitely Tuesday, did not rule out a lifetime ban for Jones, a former first-round pick by the Titans.

Jones missed the entire 2007 season for violating the league’s Personal Conduct policy.

“Yes, it’s a possibility,’’ Goodell said, regarding the imposition of a lifetime ban. “He knows when he was reinstated over the summer that I didn’t feel he had room for any further errors. It’s up to him at this point in time.’’

Attending the NFL’s fall meetings in downtown St. Petersburg, Dallas owner Jerry Jones said he supported Goodell’s latest suspension without pay, which will keep Pacman Jones sidelined for a minimum of four games.

On Oct. 8, Jones was involved in an incident which the league describes as an “alcohol-related physical altercation’’ at a Dallas hotel with a Cowboys-assigned security employee.

“The Cowboys had gone to extraordinary lengths to provide him with support and resources to help him make better decisions,’’ said Goodell. “The fact he got into a fight with somebody that was there to protect him is a pretty significant issue.’’

jones is a joke. how many chances can this guy get before they say no more. stevens got suspended twice for the same incedent. in that case, jones should be banned for life along with any children he may ever have. i have to agree with charles too. a 1st, 3rd, and 6th picks was a little high, but worth it when the bucs dont have a clear #1wr. galloway is good, but on most teams would be a #2.

How did dallas get another probowl WR?  Why dont we make moves like this.  I would trade a 1st and a 3rd round pick for a probowler like williams who has already proved himself.  Why not, we waste 2nd round picks on WR like Jackson.  I think a probowl WR would make this team superbowl bound.

Got news for Goddell..it’s been up to Pacman from the beginning. He clearly puts a good time over his career. So be it. If that’s what he wants ban him for life!

Hmm...under the new guidelines set forth by the NFL. Doesn’t this also mean that the Dallas Cowboys will be reprimanded/punished for having signed him?

At first I was of the opinion this was no big deal, but then I read alcohol was involved & that violated the terms of his probation--he needs another lifetime ban, sorry to say.

My opinion, This guy is garbage as far as being a human being (I am toning it down).

He should be fired! I literally mean it. Goodell should hold a press conference or write a letter or whatever he wants to do, and just flat out say “you are fired”. The majority of people in our society would have been fired from our jobs after incident number one (or would have never been hired with that type of background he carried). Some priveleged people would have been given a second chance, but still would be fired after this guys types of shennanegens.

WaaaWaaa he comes from a he comes from a different background and environment then we do. So!
