The Rays just passed along word that Gary Glover has cleared waivers, rejected an outright assignment and declared free agency.
Glover was designated for assignment Monday after being reinstated from the 15-day disabled list. Manager Joe Maddon said at the time he hoped Glover would remain in the organization, as Grant Balfour and Scott Dohmann had in similar circumstances earlier this season.
