TAMPA - We’re not sure what team Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been studying this week but it’s obviously not the 2009 Bucs.
When asked Wednesday during a conference call with the Tampa Bay media what it was about the Bucs defense that concerned him, Manning started by lauding the pass rush.
“They have talented players obviously, and they can get a great pass rush just by bringing their front four,’’ Manning said. “They’re very disciplined, and doing the right things have guys that can make plays.’’
It may come as something of a surprise to Manning that the Bucs are so concerned about their LACK of a pass rush that they’re considering changing their lineup around a little bit.
The Bucs have recorded just three sacks this year, and while two have come from defensive linemen (Roy Miller and Jimmy Wilkerson have one each), the play of their front four is currently one of the Bucs biggest concerns.
