The word is out about “Manimal”.
Chamberlain sophomore defensive end James Wilder Jr., son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back James Wilder, picked up his third offer Monday when Florida football coach Urban Meyer entered the race for the rising prospect while visiting the high school, Chamberlain assistant coach Brian Turner said.
Wilder, who led the Chiefs in tackles (145) and sacks (15), was named to the Tribune’s All-Hillsborough County first-team. Tuner said Tennessee offered Wilder last week, and during this past season, South Carolina became the first school to offer.
In other news, Wharton senior lineman Hunter Stout said he will make his decision on Thursday. Stout visited Auburn over the weekend, but left without an offer. He’s also visited Western Kentucky, FAU and Louisville.
