The Southeastern Conference named Florida punter Chas Henry, Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett and Alabama cornerback Javier Arenas players of the week.
Henry averaged nearly 53 yards on four punts in Florida’s win over Vanderbilt.
Mallett completed 23 of 27 passes for 329 yards and had a 1-yard touchdown run in a win over South Carolina. He set a school record for completion percentage.
Arenas, who played for Tampa’s Robinson High School, had seven tackles, including two for a loss, in Alabama’s victory over LSU.
Linemen of the week were Tennessee offensive tackle Aaron Douglas and Georgia defensive end Montez Robinson.
Kentucky quarterback Morgan Newton won freshman honors.
