Shalini Gogawale left her position as the assistant director of basketball operations for the Oregon State women’s basketball team to be the coordinator of volleyball operations at the University of Florida.
She replaces Kelley Kish, who has accepted a position with the University of Indianapolis as the assistant athletic director for compliance.
“I feel extremely honored that (volleyball) coach (Mary) Wise has given me this incredible opportunity to work with her, the Florida Volleyball program and one of the top athletic departments in the country,” Gogawale said.
Wise said, “[Gogawale’s] personality, skills and past experiences will be a great asset to our program.”
The University of California-Berkeley graduate will handle several areas of the volleyball program, such as NCAA compliance, ordering and distribution of equipment, assisting with recruiting correspondence and campus visits, serving as the volleyball office’s liaison to the Gator Attack Club, overseeing the volleyball budget, the student manager staff and operations assistants and supporting the coaches administratively.
