Garcia Goes Down

Bucs QB Jeff Garcia left a non-contact drill suddenly with an apparent leg injury.

The Bucs shut down the drill immediately, and began administering to Garcia.

Garcia was placed laying face down on a trainer’s table, with an ice bag wrapped around his calf. Garcia was then transported by golf cart to the locker room where he walked into the room under his own power but limping noticeably.

Garcia’s injury may not be the only serious injury suffered by a Buc. Starting DT Jovan Haye also left the field early after suffering an apparent groin injury.

Well Fluer as far as us spending more money that’s fine because our state has enough money to pay for it! We don’t have to beg the rest the country for it. Bye the way maybe you guys should invest some of your funds in air fresheners because that place still smells like Crap!

Posted by  todd, PSJ on 07/31  at  03:47 PM

Can everybody believe that Payton the “Crappy no Tackleing Saints” coach is not letting them do any tackleing at practice ? What a freaking idiot if I do say so myself !! Thats the second worst call to ever be done in NFL history !! D&*n you guys are batting a thousand over there with that dummy coach. You need to get rid of him…lol

Fleur seems that your post is from WI - ok tell the truth - your one they ran off.  And I don’t know where you get your info ref. rebuilding a city - but the Displaced people in NO - are still being subsidized for the trailers they live in in other states.

Posted by  Nick,  on 07/31  at  03:40 PM

Get this old guy off the field. Gruden has seen enough since OTA’s. Garcia has been a bust, he’s disgruntle and doesn’t want to play thinking he’s the man. Well hate to bring this out to you Garcia, Chris Simms is the man. He has the fire in his eyes and since he’s healthy, Simms is by far the best QB on this roster. Hands down YA’LL!!!

Posted by  Chuck King, Palm Beach County Florida on 07/31  at  03:38 PM

Hey congrats on your recent Shockey trade - I am sure he’ll help the Saints win - just like he did the GMen.  And yes - it’s true - as I was walking down by Burbon Street - there were more guys wearing dresses than the girls.  They were so overcrowded w/ gay guys - the police had to run them off - just so the girls could get a little.  They were actually offering their rebate checks - just to get a date.

Bucsrule, AboveSeaLevel,

Being above sea level doesn’t mean anything when you get hit every two years by one hurricane after another. Like I’ve stated in the past, more money has been spent rebuilding your cities in the last 15 years than on New Orleans.

Posted by  Chuck King, Palm Beach County Florida on 07/31  at  03:28 PM

Last time I checked Fleur - we were above sea level - maybe you should check where your team plays!  But then again what else should I expect from a displaced NO fan.  I had the opp. to visit NO recently;  Really - if I lived there - I wouldn’t brag!

Does anyone know if the Saints have ever had a winning season other than 06’? How many times have they been in the bottom 3 teams in the NFL? How many first round picks does it take? Is everyone that lives in N’olins on the take? “Sorry Maam, you were doing a $100 over the speed limit”. Did they only Bust Willie to take his weed? Did anyone see how slow Sedric Ellis looked at practice? & how slow the whole team looked? Did the Cops share Willie’s weed with the Saints? Was Drew Brees nicknamed “Spot” when he was a kid? Is Sean Payton really gay? Are all Saint’s fans gay? Are all Saints gay. Has the Levee broken on the Saint’s Season yet? Questions that just have to be asked.

Posted by  chris, fort myers on 07/31  at  03:03 PM

Here’s a little stat to chew on “4”- the number Int’s thrown by Garcia. With that said I would like to remind you that I would much rather have a fan then Defensive back get a gift. Maybe that’s just a Tampa thing, after all Drew Brees gave up 18 of those “gifts” last year, which makes him almost as cheritable as Santa!

Excuse me, I misspelled metaphor…

Posted by  chris, fort myers on 07/31  at  02:45 PM

All I’m gonna say is the saints stink worse than the superdome aweek after Katrina hit…. ZING

Chuck King, Palm Beach Co. Fl,

...city under the sea?

You were probably just using it as a mataphor, but I’ve heard others actually mean it.
If you meant it, then apparently you know nothing about where you live. Trust me, you have no place to talk.

Get ready for the strongest defensive front 7 in the NFC south baby! Garcia is going to be throwing a lot of souvenirs (footballs)in the stands for you buc fans, the Bucs version of Mardi Gras, baby!

We should think of a theme float for you guys, how about, ” Sacked!”

Posted by  raw_as_fuq, Tampa on 07/31  at  02:25 PM

Its a minor injury,Garcia will be back in a few days. I know he most likely wont make it the whole season, but I have faith in McCown to run the offence when Garcia gets injured and when Garcia is not here next season. Also Simms the best QB on the roster? Hahaha yeah right! He has the biggest arm on the roster but the best QB no way.

Posted by  CaliSaint, So Cal on 07/31  at  02:07 PM

Ohh come on Reynolds, you can bash because your a fan and I cant? Your own comments are saying its going to be a long season and now you are saying that we will go 8-8? So your thinking 5-11 for the Bucs? Maybe 6-10…

Posted by  M. Reynolds, Winter Park, FL on 07/31  at  02:04 PM

Ok, that comment was the equivalent of finding a red scrap of cloth at a crime scene and deciding “Ye Gods! It was a hit by the Chinese government!”

Keep your words in your mouth thanks. And don’t come crying to us when the Bayou Underachievers go 8-8.

Posted by  CaliSaint, So Cal on 07/31  at  02:04 PM

Simms will go the Cowboys and in two seasons you will be trading a 3rd round pick to them re-retain his services…...Everyone knows that Gruden only likes QB’s over 35 (Gannon, Johnson, Garcia, Favre etc.) For such an offensive genius he is really not great at bringing up young QB’s. He was the one who drafted Simms and has completely given up on him. The 7th rounder Johnson will be a WR before he ever takes a snap….

Posted by  CaliSaint, So Cal on 07/31  at  02:00 PM

Finally a Bucs fan that is not living in fantasyland. M Reynolds, you are a smart man. A bucs fan that actually knows that Garcia is glass. Not one that hopes and prays that he can make it through 6+ games. There is a reason your team has gone to camp with 15 QBs in the Gruden era. Even he knows his crop is not that spectacular. Average at best. It just goes to showthe Bucs braintrust is working overtime once again. About to trade the best QB on your roster and hope Garcia nad your own castoff from only 2 seasons ago can get it done. BRILLIANT!

Posted by  M. Reynolds, Winter Park, FL on 07/31  at  01:53 PM

Oh S__t…hope those talks with Favre just started to heat up. Otherwise, its gonna be a looong season.

Posted by  CaliSaint, So Cal on 07/31  at  01:42 PM

Well at least you had the gall to post there. I apprecaite rivalry. Its funny how you can speak absolute truth before any game has even taken place. I hope Miss Cleo is giving you accurate advise, becuase if the Bucs dont completely smash the Saints then its was money not well spent.

Posted by  todd, PSJ on 07/31  at  12:58 PM

CaliSaintSuk,

If you are refering to the comments I left at SaintsSuk.com today under…SaintsSuk that would be me. And all that I posted was the absolute truth.

Posted by  CaliSaint, So Cal on 07/31  at  12:49 PM

Not making any upgrades at all except for overpaying Faine….No WR help other than Antonio Bryant (he worked out really well in his last stops) but if there is any team that will give a turd a shot its the Bucs (see Jeremy Stevens, Hovan, Troupe etc.) and all 5-6 of Dexter. Im sure Warrick hasnt lost a step or anything, its not like the wrost team in football didnt even want to resign him. Which set of fans are living in a dream state here…...

Posted by  todd, PSJ on 07/31  at  12:38 PM

Fleur is another one of those dreamers…lol WAKE UP FLEUR !! Get back to reallity !!
And as for Garcia the man just pull a calf muscle, Big Deal. He will be back soon.
“GO BUCS”

Posted by  CaliSaint, So Cal on 07/31  at  12:38 PM

Chuck….reporting Fluer for what? Disagreement? Im quite sure they will act swiftly in removing that inappropaite post (holding my laughter). Ill say it once and Ill say it again. A lot of Saints fans post on this site and I have given the site for Bucs fans to fire back and the only one with a a sack has been Tood PSJ or it might be Ref813. The one thing I really do truly love about Bucs fans is their faith!

Posted by  Chuck King, Palm Beach Co. Fl on 07/31  at  12:05 PM

Fluer we are now contacting the Tribune for your inappropriate comments.  See you soon in the Loss column - New Orleans swept by the BUC’S, Reggie and Duce - goose egged (0)in yards per carry!  You’ll be easily identifiable as, “The City under the Sea”!

Posted by  Chuck King, Palm Beach Co. Fl on 07/31  at  11:58 AM

You guys are all great!  It just goes to show you - that we all have our ideas who should start, whose the future and who we should trade for.  Personally - I am not making several million to come up w/ these decisions, nor would I want to.  We can all agree to disagree except for anything that goes against the success of our team.  With that being said, “GO BUC’S”!
