USF returns home on Saturday to host Providence at the Sun Dome. Here is a look at the game in capsule form:

NEED TO KNOW: USF attempts to sweep the season series from Friars; Bulls’ 109-105 OT win at Providence last month ignited a school-record four-game Big East win streak … Providence has lost seven consecutive games and is 1-7 since losing to USF to fall near bottom of the Big East … USF junior C Jarrid Famous won’t start today; he remained stuck in New York on Friday morning due to weather after visiting his newborn daughter … Junior G Dominique Jones is averaging 16.2 points on 24-for-78 shooting over last five games, four of them losses; in previous four games, Jones averaged 37 points, including career-high 46 in win at Providence … Saturday will be the 100th career start of USF senior G Chris Howard’s career … Despite recent stretch of four losses in five games, Bulls remain eight games ahead of last year’s record (8-19) after 27 games … Bulls are 2-5 all-time vs. Providence … Friars are led by sophomore F Jamine Peterson, who is averaging 19.1 points a game.
