Gaither senior baseball player Brady North has committed to Hillsborough Community College.
North is a four-year starter for the Cowboys, playing both in the outfield and at first base during his prep career. He hit .291 with six doubles, four home runs and 25 RBIs as a junior and also posted a .971 fielding percentage.
“Brady is not only valuable as the third hitter in our lineup but also as a Gold Glove fielder. (HCC) coach (Gary) Calhoun is getting a total package in Brady,” Gaither coach Frank Permuy said in an email.
North is the fourth Gaither senior to commit to a college program, joining outfielder Drew Doty (St. Pete College), third baseman Mike Danner (Polk Community College) and pitcher Dylan Hathcock (UNC-Greensboro).
