Gaither’s coaching staff undergoes a makeover

Following a disappointing start to the season, the Gaither Cowboys have made some changes.

Co-offensive coordinators Kevin Diez and Bruno Frauenfeld have left the program, Diez said. The two left on Tuesday following an offfensive meeting with head coach Jason Stokes.

Citing a difference in philosophy, the two former Alonso staff members, who were previously on the Ravens coaching staff with former Alonso head coach Mike Heldt, have moved on. Stokes said he will take over the play calling until he can hire a new offensive coordinator, most likely after the season ends.

Gaither opened the season with a Kickoff Classic loss to Sickles followed by a loss to Alonso last Friday. The Cowboys play Leto Friday night.
