Gaither’s Allen and Bavol pick The Citadel

Two of Gaither’s best and brightest will continue playing together at the next level.
Defensive back Jamal Allen and defensive lineman Derrick Bavol verbally committed to The Citadel, Cowboys coach Mark Kantor said.
Last season, Allen collected two interceptions and 24 tackles. He was also Gaither’s leading return man with a 16.8 average on punt returns and 26.77 on kickoffs.
Bavol was second on the team with 81 tackles and tied for the team lead with three sacks.
