Gaither senior libero Elissa Hausmann, who accepted a preferred walk-on spot at Florida Gulf Coast in the fall, has accepted an invitation to walk-on at Florida instead, Florida volleyball coach Mary Wise confirmed in an email on Monday.
Hausmann’s father, Eric, said Elissa decided to forgo her spot at Florida Gulf Coast after she was accepted into Florida in February.
Hausmann was named to the Tribune All-Hillsborough County Volleyball second-team this past season.
