Former Gulf quarterback Will Fulmer has enrolled at Hudson, his father, former Gulf coach Jay Fulmer told The Pasco Tribune Wednesday afternoon.
Jay Fulmer said he expects his son to be at the Cobras practice Thursday morning.
Fulmer’s parents had tried to school choice Will to Fivay but was rejected. This is the second time since Fulmer was forced to resign his coaching position for alleged recruiting violations last summer. Fulmer resigned prior to last season. Kenneth Hollar was the interim coach last year and has been replaced by longtime Land O’ Lakes assistant Tom Carter. The Fulmers also tried to school choice Will into Land O’ Lakes in November.
Last season, the then-sophomore, completed 29 of 83 for 487 yards and 4 TDs before missing the final four games with an injury. With Hudson’s low numbers, the addition of Fulmer will be a welcome addition to coach Justin Fenton’s squad.
