LAS VEGAS—Rays executive vice president Andrew Friedman characterized the Rays’ lunch meeting with free agent Milton Bradley earlier today as a “get-to-know-you” session, and apparently it went well.
“He was very impressive,” Friedman said of the 30-year-old outfielder/DH, who posted an impressive .321/.436/.563 line with the Rangers this season.
“We have a tremendous amount of respect for Milton as a player and felt it was a good opportunity to sit down and learn a little bit more,” Friedman said. “It was a great meeting.”
The Rays have a handful of meetings with other free agents scheduled for the remainder of the week—Friedman declined to name names—leading Friedman to say it was “very unlikely” his team would close a deal for a big bat before leaving town.

It’s also very unlikely Milt will still be available as the winter meetings expire. If he’s that impressive, the best thing to do is seal it up now.

Bradley has been with 6 teams the past 8 years! That should be Friedman’s first clue.

Due to his impressive stats,Bradley is great for someone’s fantasy team! In reality he has always been a problem in the clubhouse.
