The Patriots are looking to improve to 2-0 tonight against Sickles, and first-year coach James Harrell knows it won’t be easy.

“Defensively, we have to be prepared for a physical game,” he said.

Harrell didn’t seem too concerned with Sickles passing game, but rather the production of their running back, Carey White.

“They’ll take their shots in the long ball,” he said. “You have to stop (White) to stop Sickles. But I don’t think any individual can beat us.”

Freedom did not play against King last Friday due to inclement weather, but showed promise in its season opener against Riverview, which the Patriots won, 49-19. In the win, senior quarterback Tyler Guy threw four touchdown passes while running back Anthony Delisca rushed 14 times for 99 yards and two scores.

“We’re going to run the spread game,” Harrell said. “We ran the ball against Riverview, but (Sickles) has an excellent defensive front.”

Freedom last played Sickles in 2006, winning 21-3.

“We’re going to have to play a complete game,” Harrell said.
