Mychael Floyd, who led the Bulldogs in receiving as a senior in 2006, was arrested 10:20 a.m. Wednesday on a misdemeanor violation of probation warrant by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest stems from a 2009 DUI arrest.
Floyd, 21, remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
An affidavit provided by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office lists seven different violations made by Floyd, which includes: failure to complete 50 hours of community service; failure to pay $660, his supervision fees; failure to complete DUI program; failure to make installment payments of his $981 in court fees; failure to make a $25 clerk payment; failure to complete Victims Impact Panel Program; and continuing to drive on a suspended license.
In 2006, Floyd, of 39419 Lincoln Ave., Zephyrhills, caught 30 passes for 581 yards and five touchdowns. That season he was the county’s fourth-leading receiver, helping Zephyrhills collect a Class 3A-District 8 title and host a playoff game.
That’s the last time Zephyrhills was in the postseason.
This is the third arrest for Floyd since 2009. His first arrest was August 15, 2009 by the Zephyrhills Police Department for DUI. His second came May 15, 2010 when he was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol for driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
