Former University of South Florida men’s basketball coach Seth Greenberg has an important game today when his Virginia Tech team faces Miami in the second round of the ACC Tournament.
According to a report in Thursday’s edition of The New York Post, Greenberg is the top candidate to replace St. John’s coach Norm Roberts if Roberts is fired.
The Post reported that “highly placed sources said that Virginia Tech coach Seth Greenberg, a Long Island native with ties to St. John’s, tops their list of realistic candidates.’‘
Greenberg, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year spent seven seasons at USF from 1996-2003. He had a 108-100 record during his time in Tampa.
